Could you imagine anything in the SEC being decided this way? I would love to see the reaction if someone was left out of Atlanta because it landed on tails instead of heads. Hilarity would ensue.

They could go by who has the highest winning percentage in SEC play

This was more of a segway to a coin flip being an actual tiebreaker scenario than Florida/LSU, to be honest

Or by the winning % in divisional play. Determining divisional winners not SEC champion anyways. Tennessee could literally not lose a game to the SEC east and get screwed out of Atlanta because UF ducked LSU.

They would have to hire a fricking accounting firm and broadcast the flip live on the internet or people would burn down the SECHQ

Only because it went in favor of the team highlighted in the movie. Imagine the outrage if the movie had to end early due to the coin flip going against them.

Why would Florida do this when they are favored to win?

If the division consisted of l6u, south carolina, Uk,vandy, and moo state. I think lsu could win that or at least get in the top 3. Current west division chances...let's just be nice and say improbable.

My High school team got left out of the playoffs one year because of a coin flip. It was a few years before my time, but they went 9-1 and no playoffs.
