Sat down in front, sec. 147. Thought it was pretty loud but not as loud as Tiger Stadium, the Swamp, JH, or BDS. Maybe a little louder than Ole Miss back when Ole Miss was good.

Tailgating was ok, about what you'd expect from an 11am kickoff.

Didn't hear any A&M fans giving LSU fans the business before, during, or after the game. Most of them just ignored us. But a few were friendly and welcomed us to A&M.

The organized cheers with the yell captain down in front was definitely unique. I didn't necessarily mind the concept, but some of those hand signals were pretty feminine. For example, a man should never make a gun shape with their hands Charlie's Angels style. I'm sure there is a history and important meaning to it, but that was my impression of it as an outsider.

But the enthusiasm was good and you could tell their fans really believed in those choreographed yell instructions. You could tell there was tradition, which makes A&M a good fit for the SEC.

The drive was not bad from Baton Rouge, with Lafayette, Lake Charles, Beaumont, then Houston providing nice breakups in the trip.

After the game we were surprised that the fans handled the loss very well. Nobody was that upset and there was no trash talking. It seemed like a very classy group of people.

Overall, we enjoyed our trip and will try to make it every other year.

Then where the hell did most of the A&M posters on here come from?

As a former LSU student, I'm excited to see what happens when the renovations are down.

Agreed.

You can also cut from Beaumont through Conroe to Navasota, and that is a great drive.

Also as a former LSU student, I ran into a bunch of great LSU fans throughout the weekend. Can't wait to make my way back to BR next year. I took the loss well personally because all you can do is laugh when the other team basically hands you a TD (KO return) and you can't even score a point.

I met a bunch of cool LSU fans before and after the game. Glad you enjoyed your trip

BTW, I was at Northgate Friday night, and I honestly think there were more LSU fans at the bars than Aggies. Or at least they were more obnoxious than we were

hopefully in future years played, we don't get hosed on kick off times, and everyone will have a substantially better time.

most are just trolling because it amuses them. It is that way on texags, and seems to come this way too.

Have not figured out how a top 10 vs top 20 game gets stuck at 11AM. Both schools got hosed on this one...

Back from your first gay experience you say. No need to start a thread about it.

ESPN had already decided to put the tu/baylor game in the primetime abc slot like a week before they scheduled our game and there was no way in hell they would put 2 texas games on at once and split the state. it sucks but there definitely was a reason behind their decision

Were we still in the Big 12, I wouldn't have gotten to see our game here. ABC here had FSU/Miami.

I've heard plenty of horror stories about how bad LSU fans are and always wondered if there was any truth to it. I've only been to one LSU/A&M game and that was back in '94 at baton rouge. I was in college and pretty inebriated, but I truly didn't remember the fans giving my buddies & me too much grief. In fact, I remember it being a pretty dang good time. I say all that to say that I was curious to see what I thought about LSU's fans as an adult.

I can proudly report that I was very impressed with your fan base. Everyone was polite and I didn't see a single incident that would make me think otherwise. I also met a guy who works for your athletic foundation.....I think his mama was a little too fond of "Gone With The Wind", though....his name was Rhett Butler. Hell of a nice guy. He & some of his buddies tailgated with us for a while before the game.

I'll gladly welcome y'all back into College Station & I might even make the run over to Baton Rouge next year!

I was in that same section as you. It wasn't very loud over in that section, I doubt it ever is. Most of the noise is focused towards the field and since we were sitting at the goal line or worse with the visitor section mostly behind/to the side of us it doesn't surprise me.

I cannot wait until that (the horrible sight lines) is hopefully fixed with the coming remodel. The bottom decks were built in the late 1920's, so the entry into the stands really sucks and the restrooms are way to small.

Glad you had a good time.

I got back home last night. Would've been later, but the Ag's I ended up tailgating with weren't very good hosts so we drove back to Dallas.

Nice campus and had a great time at Northgate Friday night. Looking forward to going to the LSU/A&M baseball series this spring

Apparently you missed the jagoff who threw a full water bottle from the third deck down to the first deck (ironic that it was a PI against lsu). I wished we had some thug fans at that point that woulda beat his effing arse!

I was impressed with the way A&M did not boo injured players unlike some other SEC scumbags.
