My edit included the final sentence to provide context. It matters when…
I had already declared Colorado as a co-champion.

You declaring them co champions now doesn't matter because they were already declared co champions 24 years ago.

Is it going to make the win more impressive?
Are they actually graded or is it pass/fail? Familiar with playing to the competition? Probably more familiar with receiving end of that at A&M.

Semantics. Just pointing out your mistake.

If you think that West Virginia is going to be 10-2 and is going to be a very impressive football team this year then yeah it matters. Unfortunately there is a thing called reality, and in reality, West Virginia sucks.

In the end it was an embarrassment not to give that title to Colorado who won the AP poll
This is you claiming that Colorado wasn't the national champion that year.

Read again, in the end it was an embarrassment not to give that (Preposition linking to UPI title) to Colorado who won the AP poll (giving credit to the title they won).

No one said that coach. More important question is what will Bama's record be and how much does the WVU win have to do with it. Want to know about worse performances by national champs against worse opponents? Speaking of, I can think of one right off.

If you are that upset about it, go complain to Tom Osborne.

Alabama looked like shite against the 9th best team in the Big XII.
They're worse than all but one of Kansas, Iowa State (who just got blown out by NDSU at home), Texas (without their QB or starting Center), and Texas Tech (who barely beat Central Arkansas 42-35 at home)?
I'd place them right in the middle (7th at worst) just based off what I've seen so far.

How good is USCe since you guys are the football experts? 9th?
Posted on 9/3/14 at 10:22 pm to Kritten
They are the sixth best team in the SEC.

Ok well...he's still wrong. Has anyone seen Wisconsin's schedule? No way they don't end up ranked.

Bama, LSU, UGA, UF, A&M, Ole Miss, Mizz and Miss St. Probably even UT better. They were awful.
