Better question is why did you let it happen 25 years ago? This reminds me of the LSU fans (I'm one of them) who complain about having Florida as a permanent opponent while Ole Miss gets Vanderbilt every year. Why? Because in both cases Auburn & LSU had AD's who sat around on their @$$e$ and let Alabama and Tennessee run the conference. And this is what we're stuck with. Auburn's never going to the East even though anyone who passed 5th grade Geography can see that they belong there. Alabama doesn't want them in the East and that's that. Alabama and Tennessee have to play on the 3rd Saturday in October or otherwise the sky will fall. So that's the way it's going to be. Blame your school president and AD from 1992. It's their fault.

If you want it to be easy, go ahead in move to the East. If you want the challenge in playing the best, stay in the West.
This is not a put down of my friends from Missouri but they came to the SEC East and own the place. If they wanted to play lessor schools they could have stayed in the BDF.
I know Mizzou and I bet they wish they were in the West.

Alabama and LSU will always play every year. I have no problem with that. Florida? I wouldn't mind playing Tennessee and Georgia a little more often. And no.....a 9 game conference schedule is not the answer although it's coming, unfortunately.

The reason this wasn't done in the first place was do to balance. They're not going to change things now. If we retain divisions there are always going to be 3 big six schools in each division.
