True but not quite the knockout power that Stringfellow has apparently.

Have you ever actually read the report of what happened? It wasn't good but nobody ever said he hit a girl. I believe the final report was that he tried to take the camera from her, she was "jostled" and passed out. And he got thrown out and had to start over elsewhere. Not that it was good behavior but if you think it is remotely the same as not punishing a man for repeatedly punching a girl as she lays on the ground screaming I am glad you aren't a judge.

Jostled and passed out? I have never read the police report but that definitely sounds like you are sugarcoating the situation.

I know they won't actually look it up to read it, so I will help.

Seattle Times

quote:

“He grabbed aggressively for the camera, and the two struggled over it. (The woman) had the strap around her wrist, so Stringfellow was unable to wrest it from her. Witnesses characterized the struggle in varying terms ranging from (the woman) being shaken around violently to her being moved around a little bit

Actually that's what's in the report. Jostled and passed out. I don't know how a police officer write that with a straight face. He jostled the shite out of that girl

What Stringfellow did was really bad and he 100% deserved to be kicked off his team. It was Freezes call to give him a second chance. I'm not 100% comfortable with it but I hope he gets his head straight. People deserve a chance but he defiantly deserved the punishment he got.

They wrestled over the camera, which he should not have done. She had the strap around her neck so he couldn't get it away from her and she said that in the struggle she got hit in the head and passed out, though she said she wasn't sure if was because she was hit or because she was sick and exerted herself. Nobody ever said he punched her. They did say he punched some dude later, possibly one earlier if I remember correctly.

I am the first to say he needed to get punished and I think it was a huge risk taking him in. I also was one of the few who had no issue with MSU keeping Simmons. My main issue was that they seemed reluctant to criticize him or give him a meaningful punishment because they were afraid he would go somewhere else.

Wait, so an academic adviser at Ole Miss? There's very little chance this is accurate this is an ole miss adviser error. They have teams of people who are paid only to make sure players have enough credits each semester and understand their minimums in order to stay eligible. So if this is so, that person has already been fired.

Ok but that same report says he hit her in the head and he got into another fight 50 minutes later.

I never said otherwise. Just brought the article. Also from everything I have read the hit to the head was not a punch. The witnesses at the trial said it didn't appear he was trying to hurt her.

Also I think he deserved everything he got for punishment. I was also one of the people that didn't really like the fact we were taking a chance on him. I remember posting in the recruiting thread about it, but I'm not going to go digging for it.

I had friends at ole miss (not athletes) get screwed by similar mistakes to the point of not graduating on time. It shouldn't happen, but it does. Really sucks for him.

Bjork implying the infractions were pretty much previous staff. 4 of the 8 level 1 infractions are under freeze

This is a huge misconception.

Word of the NOI got out right before NSD. Recruits wanted and needed to know what was new information that they werent aware of. Bjork said that withholding the Tunsil investigation (which was known and punished) what isnt publicly known are allegations that the majority relate to other sports outside of football and the one's that do relate to football, the majority of those have to do with the previous staff.

Removing the Tunsil violations (which were already publicly known) 8 of the remaining 25 had to do with football and 3 of the 8 had to do with the current staff, with only one being level 1 and that if you know the information is likely to be reduced.

Was that a positive spin, you bet your arse. But it wasnt a flat out lie like yall make it out to be. Yall constantly say the players were lied to yet the players say they werent, but you just dont care and assume you are a better source.
