So football players who dream of getting paid millions to play NFL, suddenly decide there's no rush to become millionaires? At every other school these type of players normally leave. Only at Bama. So why? There's nothing left for them to prove in college. With most things, you follow the money. So.

You do realize our juniors leave early more often than not, don't you?

How many of those were situational sacks? That dline dictated a lot of passing only downs. Those d tackles also pushed a lot of guys back in the pocket to force sacks. Will that happen again. Allen is the only one that usually didn't run around a OT and then get a sack pushed to them.

If he were an LSU player you'd be applauding his dedication to his team and the university.

Allen made a statement about 4 weeks ago that many missed or ignored...that he wanted to return to finish his degree. While it may turn out to be a poor choice if he gets hurt, my guess is he will wind up being a top 10 pick rather than a bottom 10 pick (in the 1st round). If that is the case he will get the money back he walked away from with his choice.

Alabama signed Daron Payne last year. Even though Alabama played 10 guys on the D-line Saban still could not redshirt him. That speaks to his talent. It also lets you know the staff presumes him to be 3 and done. Bama still has a lot of talented beef on interior D line. They have recruited well there unlike LSU that hasn't had a difference maker up front since Brockers left.

You do realize that A'Shawn Robinson and Jarran Reed didn't play every snap, don't you? We rotated our defensive linemen in and out quite liberally. There are a lot of major contributors coming back to play on that DL. Our defensive front seven is going to be just fine in 2016.

So you were mad when Tre White said he was returning? I mean, he's risking it too, right?

Nah, it's gotta be because the REC is paying him more than the first year of a first round rookie DE contract would be worth.

I wonder if people truly believe someone paid Allen a million dollars to stay.?
Why not pay Ashawn one or two million to stay?
Do these posters really believe this nonsense or is it just a flame?

Nice troll attempt....
I was speaking for every college player with a first round grade.
Has way more risk than reward, you can only lose money at that point when you are projected 1st round and #1 at your position.

Ummm... Tre White is not NFL ready, kid is good, but can surely improve in coverage. Gave up several big plays last season.

But.. but... this can't be. All of our players are "process" oriented, business-like drones that aren't allowed to have any fun. I'm sure this is just a mistake and he'll change his mind before tomorrow.

I want to see a front 4 at least once that has Jonathan Allen, Tim Williams, Ryan Anderson and Rashaan Evans.

He'll make more at Bama than as a 1st rounder. Good move.
