Its incredible that this guy has all of that talent and has no clue what to do with it. LSU, with a competent coach, has final 4 talent, but no direction to put it all in place. This is not an attempt to irk any LSU folks, but it is the truth

He's not the best but his record has continued to improve. Will he win us a title? Highly doubtful but I thank him for bringing excitement and momentum to the program

Ag you shut the hell up, you pick any chance to talk about LSU. JJ is not a good coach, we arent fundamentally sound and have no offensive identity. What we do though is dumptruck your softass football team every year even when your savior was there. As long as this is football country that's what matters...Your not really even SEC. Your the guy that tries to be in the cool group not knowing none of them like or accept you. Beat it chump

They are frustrating to watch. Seems like when the game is on the line they don't even get a shot off 1/2 the time. Big win today. He needs to hire a really good xx & oo's coach. Let that guy run the offense. Great recruiter.

it frustrates me and i ain't even a corndog and don't like them at all....there is some serious talent in those LSU uniforms that is being misused, not to mention the most complete basketball player in the country....its sickening to see it all going to waste.....

He is certainly the most talked about basketball coach on this board.
Half the job of a college coach is to get players yet people ignore that for jones. There is no GM. He has improved the teams record each year and has made post season 2/3 soon to be 3/4. And more and more look to make our second straight ncaa. For any program in the SEC that's strong outside of UK and uf. Much less what he started with from Trent Johnson.

LSU has a terrible basketball coach and a football coach who they wanted fired. Until they realized they couldn't afford it. Am I right?

That's a stretch. One great player does not a final 4 team make.
LSU has 1 all-world player (Ben), 1 very good forward (C. Victor) and 4 or 5 good guards who are all very skilled but inconsistent.
The problem is the huge gap down in talent for the big men coming off the bench after Ben and Craig need a rest or get in foul trouble. Robertson and Malone are below average on a good day(I'm being generous) and a few others can't seem to make much of an impact. If Jordan Mickey would have elected to stay one more year I would think this team would be a legit threat to make a final four run.
With that being said, if Johhny doesn't at least make the NCAAT and win a game or two it will be a major disappointment and he will catch hell (surprise surprise) on the bayou.

As far as in game coaching, Barbee was much better than Jones. He did suck in every other aspect though.
