You can only get so many athletes in one class, and there are plenty of serviceable players around the country.
You guys did not pull the cream of the crop every year and had a great defense.
You are still winning with his recruits.

Come on now.

Well the defense has been on a stiff decline since 2011 and that team was full of the 2009 talent that Chavis didn't recruit. Ever since the 2011 class the talent hasn't been the greatest

So he's good at developing talent that he didn't recruit and still had you guys recruiting at a high enough level to be seen as a conference contender every year of his tenure.

What seems to be the problem?

As far as the offensive woes are concerned, it's pretty funny to me that the ONLY people in the country including analysts, journalists, coaches, and fans, who are putting that on the DEFENSIVE coordinator are coming out of the state of Louisiana.

Chavis only coached LBs and made schemes. He wasn't even a good LB coach. He played DJ Welter in front of Beckwith.

The recruiting of Ron Cooper/Adam Henry in the secondary has kept LSU elite on defense. Without those guys LSU would've sucked. There's a reason why the DLU stigma has gone away from LSU the past 5 years and DBU took its place.

The Auburn Real Tigers will test y'alls defense big time. Gus Bus has been Chavis' kryptonite

So why should be worried about recruiting when we were doing fine before he got here under Sumlin?

Why should we be worried about the DL when we have one of the best in the conference and is full of freshman and sophomores?

The only point I can concede at this point is that of LB's but other than the Welter incident you guys have had some great LB play over the past half decade and I assume you think Chavis had nothing to do with that.

Why the frick did you guys keep him so long? He sounds awful.

They are buddy. Sucks that Aggie hasn't gotten to experience it yet. Getting blown out isn't favorable conditions for 3&JC

I was trying to talk football, and didn't realize you were trolling.

I assume you agree with my statements then. Sorry about the BBQ.

LSU didn't get to experience it until around 2012 so it might take awhile.
