Chavis is in a position to get a raise, and thanks to our dumpster fire DC search we are in a position to give it to him.
From what I understand part of the issue is how much of the money is guaranteed even if Les isn't around. I hope he gets every penny he has earned.

Chavis knows this is his last contract. he can spend his last 3 years at LSU with talent for days or he can go to a&m where one player is their entire d. A player that racked up pretty stats until the LSU offense made him tap out like a bitch. 2 mill or so a year but best defensive player is nothing more than a pancake for the LSU oline or a stud line of db's, stacked linebackers and young dline players.
