Not to mention much lower expectations. I mean Sumlin has far exceeded expectations with an average SEC West finish of just under 4th place, and has subsequently been made one of the highest paid coaches in the nation.

Because he doesn't try apparently. Swamp kittens said he hated it and it fell off. LSU has been stacking the NFL with talent, repeatedly having the top defense in the conference, and getting top recruiting classes but that was all in spite of Chavis. He literally did nothing to contribute to any of those achievements.
