Yormark is pushing Prokhorov to reach back to the Nets' Jersey roots, dust off a failed '90s experiment and sell it as something sparkling and new. Twenty years ago, the Nets stunned everyone with a five-year, $15 million contract for the UMass coach. For Calipari to consider the Nets – and, yes, the Sacramento Kings, too – league sources tell Yahoo Sports that the teams have been informed of his asking price: 10 years, $120 million.

As a life long UK basketball fan and Calipari hater I'm hoping somebody pays him and he gets his fat arse out of Kentucky.

Not a single frick was given by Kentucky fans. He's not leaving Lexington anytime soon. But if y'all get some enjoyment out of fantasizing about it, more power to you.

The Nets are pretty smart. All indications are the next deal between the League and the Players will involve recruiting players to play for nothing so that they can reach the next level. Cal is a logical fit for such a scheme. The Nets are going to be the best recruiters in the NBA.

Cal isn't good enough to be on this level. Besides I'm too busy fantasizing about our own coach leaving.

Also, since Tom Thibodeau's scheme has been more widely adopted, isn't the DDM basically dead in pro basketball?

When will the pro leagues learn that coaches that win in college by out talenting their opponents don't translate?

I really don't understand this. Calipari's only talent is recruiting. What's that going to do for him in the NBA?

He's a players first guy. That is attractive to a lot of organizations.

I agree. Why would an NBA team want him?
