Too bad we don't get a chance to settle it on the field.

Exactly...all it does is give fodder for us to argue over while running out the clock at work.

Not true.. You can look at who was injured and who played at the time of the game. The Ole Miss defense Auburn played was not the same defense Bama played. This LSU team is nothing like the LSU team Auburn played. It doesn't matter because AL and AU will settle it on the field, but there is other "logic" if you care to see it.

Hope so - still a lot of work to do, particularly for Bama.

And even if AU/Bama win out until then, it's still not for "all" of the marbles. We used to assume the SEC winner would win it all, but not anymore. Here's hoping that Bama wins this time so we can handle FSU.

Actually that was a bad LSU team that Auburn beat early in the season. Auburn got lucky again by playing LSU early.

Weren't we laughing at Auburn for using that excuse last year?

Umm if you're going to add in the "who was injured" card then AU has a pretty large stake in that debate as well.

And I'll give you that LSU is better today than when AU played them (are they 41-7 better?) but ole miss was the same team.

Ole Miss was the same team without Denzell Nkemdiche and with an injured Tunsil and Treadwell fumbling near the goal line because of getting injured? Interdasting.

Alabama was the same team losing their star player to a horrendous injury, one that made my stomach turn and rendered the game relatively meaningless compared to the question of if Drake will ever play again. Same team when the starting center and starting outside linebacker both go down in the same game? Also interdasting.

Ole Miss and Auburn both deserved their victories, but let's not pretend that injuries didn't affect the outcome of both of those games.

What do you want man? Wny don't you wait until Nov 29 and we'll settle it then? Until then you'll just have to be happy with a higher ranking (and an underdog in Vegas - wonder why that is?).

What the hell does a fumble have to do with your point? He played the whole game minus the last 25-30 seconds

Bama is 2-6 ATS this year. Wonder why that is...

And AU was 0-8 in SEC play 2 years ago.

The line is current dude. History on it has no effect.

Too add further detail, let's remember that Auburn is missing Alex Kozan, Carl Lawson and Jermaine Whitehead (designated to special teams duty as further punishment) - three starters.

How about this: if Treadwell doesn't get injured there he probably hangs on to the ball. If he keeps the ball, Ole Miss might score on that drive. If Ole Miss scores on that drive, Auburn probably doesn't win the game.

Didn't realize I had to break it down that much.
