Packer asked Klatt during today's show/interview to name a couple of teams that Klatt was tired of hearing people tout. His response: Auburn. He said besides a national title with a generational type QB and another shot at one where every bounce went their way like the tipped pass against UGA and the Kick Six, he said Auburn is an 8-5 team yearly and he was tired of hearing how this was the year every year that they return to the top.

Don't shoot the messenger, thought Auburn fans would want to know what the Fox Sports talking heads were saying about the program. Klatt is a Big XII homer and has apparently followed in the footsteps of Danny Kannell, never missing an opportunity to slam an SEC school.

Besides those times they were really good, they were average. Checks out

Well I can count on less than one hand the number of teams who have been in multiple title games and won one in this decade soooo....

I mean if it wasn't for Deshaun Watson Clemson is just average, without Tom Brady the Patriots would have never win any Super Bowls... ah nevermind, you can't fix stupid.

The only time we were hyped without good reason and didn't live up to it was 2015. We weren't supposed to be that good last year or in 2011 or 12.

We dominated UGA for three quarters in 2013. Sure we got lucky, but the game against bama was going to OT and Auburn had a ton of momentum. Just consider that we've had Chizik and Malzahn as our last two coaches against the greatest coach in college history. It's a miracle that we've won twice.

Why would Klatt be a Big 12 homer when he went to Colorado? He ships for the Pac now.

He played in the Big 12. Probably has a vested interest in both leagues

This grinds my gears beyond no end. Sure tipped UGA pass was lucky as frick. But the kick six was by no means luck or a 'bounce'. It was an extremely rare, perfectly executed play. Lucky Bama kicker came up short? I guess, but happens every game. A return for a td? My god when does that happen?

Again rarity does not equal "luck". It was only lucky to the extent it worked, and in that sense every TD is lucky.

He has hated on Auburn for quite some time and I don't know why. The bammers on the Roundtable on Jox have him on all the time.

Is Joel Klatt the same guy as Kige Ramsey? Or is he more like that Stingray Mississippi State fan?

Never heard of him.

Correct.

That's like saying... Hey bama would be terrible if they didn't have Saban and stopped brining in top classes

He's all for AU moving to the East, though. He can't be all that bad.
