beating Florida at home and also beating a hot UT team on the road would give them a lot of confidence and maybe legitimize a lot of preseason expectations.

They beat good teams at home every year. It's one of the hardest places to play in college basketball. It doesn't change anything.

true,they haven't won a game since 2007 when they were a bad no call on a Georgetown walk from making the Elite 8.
But this team is more than capable of at the very least making the Sweet 16.

Well, ANY team is capable of making it to the Sweet 16. Vandy just isn't good away from the Memorial Magic. Same story, different year.
So far your argument is that they beat an overrated Florida @ home (they beat a lot of decent and good teams at home) and they blew out Ole Miss @ the Tad Pad. Not a real convincing argument.

hate to break it to you,but you haven't made any argument as to why this particular team can't make the Sweet 16.
Vanderbilt hasn't even played Florida at home. I merely said in a post earlier in the thread a win at home vs Florida and a win over Tennessee in Knoxville would give them some much needed confidence which evidently hurt your feelings.

Hurt my feelings? Hardly.
I'm not saying Vandy can't go decently far. It's just that people say they will every year they make the tourney, and they almost always lose first round to some mid major.
