Would have more wins and a college playoff appearance if he would have stayed at FSU. He had access to better athletes in FL than Texas, and the smaller stage served him better. Seems like he put out more quality NFL talent at FSU than A&M.

Did you wake up thinking about A&M?

Good grief.

The division is much easier for sure but didn't he go like 5-7 his last year there? And A&M has plenty of access to talent especially in the world of NIL. They signed (paid) for the highest ranked class ever and Texas is a monster.

I don't think A&M is the problem and I think it's for sure a better job than FSU. FSU has one MAJOR advantage and it's that they don't play in the SEC.

Hot take. They many were trying to get rid of Jimbo at FSU. Everywhere he has been he has had mediocre offenses. Including his times as OC.

Friend of mine who was tight with Bobby B and who was a GA at FSU in the 60's said that Boosters and others alike were fed up with Jimbo and he was not well liked.

This friend is a retired college and pro coach with 40 years in. So him leaving before they shoved him out the door was a godsend at FSU

They wouldn't pay his assistant coaches and their facilities were lagging behind Clemson and other top-notch programs. In short, FSU was/is cheap.

Now Jimbo has a state-of-the-art facility and he can go out and get someone like Bobby Petrino and Mike Elko in the past. TAMU is a lot of things but they aren't cheap.

They can want all they want, they can’t afford to fire Jimbo.

If you want all the possible advantages you can get, coach at aggy.

If you want to win, coach at FSU.

Do you mean join the ACC? Yeah, good work if you can get it. But if you want to get your azz kicked and put in your place on a regular bases, just come to the SEC.

I am sure his banker would disagree with you.

Jimbo was made promises by FSU that were not kept. He was tired of it. A&M came along at the right time.

The money to let Jimbo go is already in the bank. He could be sent down the road tomorrow if need be. A&M is just not ready to give up on him. There are plenty of fans who wish they would but the guys that make that decision are not quite ready to start over again yet.

Hopefully he can pull it all together this season.

NIL, all of Texas to recruit from, plenty of boosters and Jimbo can’t break .500.

He has been the most expensive/worst hire ever.

FSU finished 2-0 against current SEC members last year. 3-0 if you count future member Oklahoma.

FSU would have no problem with the SEC

Speaking of expensive, how many payments do you have left on the combo Gus Malzahn and Brian Harsin?

We seem to do ok, maybe not as brutal in the SEC as you thought ? Ill admit the SEC west is the toughest division in CFB. the east , not so much.
