I will give John a break in that he doesn't get to keep his five stars for three years.

But, 1 championship, usually disappoint...sometimes in epic fashion.

Cal has been to the final four with 3 different schools...from 3 different decades...Not even in the same stratosphere.

Unless you mean from their similar greaseball car salesman type persona.

You're right that their is little comparison between their accomplishments. Not totally sure what he had in mind but one apt comparison is that they both run antiquated offensive systems.

Final fours!!! That's what it's all about. Winning it all, just gravy.

I've always had a lack of understanding about this from basketball fans. Using that logic, making the playoff in football would seem to carry the same weight, but somehow it doesn't.
