Who is/was a better college QB? Considering they both almost wound up in Oregon it's quite possible we may have not known who one or the other was at this point (if they both went).

Manziel faced SEC defenses. No Contest.

I'm sure you will get unbiased responses in the SEC Rant.

Not even close. JFF is far more talented. I can't believe I just heard this guy say "mariota has been the most talented player for a few years now." in what fricking world with no defense is he talking about? This shite is literally unbelievable.
I feel bad for melvin gordon that he's going to lose to some guy who is clearly not even close to his talent level. It really shouldn't even be a debate.

Who knows. They are impossible to compare seeing as how they played completely different competition.

Besides LSU, who shut Manziel down?

I do think Gordon is the most talented player this year, and arguably the most valuable. Where would his team be without him? I know they have another good back, but Gordon is on another level. QB's get all love though because, well there QB's.

Mariota. Both were great though.

Mariota is going to be a colossal bust next year.

I don't even see how this is a question.

when mariota faces a real defense for one time in his career i'll take you seriously

Throwing out competition, I just think that Mariota looks more poised. Not necessarily a knock on JFF though. When JFF began to scramble he just never seemed like he knew where his next step was, but for some reason he got the job done 9 times out of 10 (Many of those one out of tens showed up when he played LSU ). Mariota on the other hand seems like he knows what comes next when he scrambles.

Mariota is a rs junior, which Manziel would be if he didn't leave for the NFL.

Sorry but the level of competition Mariota faced was no comparison to the caliber JFF played against. Hell, AZ is the best defense he's faced in the PAC and it took him three tries to get a win.

The question was in reference to college, but I think Mariota has a better shot in the NFL than JFF. Look at the difference in pocket presence.

this is what happens when you have no fear of being hit by a 280 lb d lineman who can run as fast as you.
