You haters are truly pieces of chit.

In the end the thing folks don't get is Johnny doesn't really care what other people think of him, for good or bad. He's not a saint and he's not a complete dbag. He's just himself.
He has known Charlie for quite a while, long before he was a serious Heisman candidate. What he has done with him is very commendable. He also has not gone out of his way to use the kid as a PR tool and it appears his affection is very genuine. Johnny appears to have an appreciation for just how fortunate he is but he also isn't going to apologize for it. He also knows that some people will hate him no matter what he does so he's just going to live his life.

Crazy how much you grow up from freshman year of college

I guess it's better than just being an azzhole with no talent like you...
I'm kidding, but what is with all the self-righteousness on here. The kid has been a jackazz at times - hardly revolutionary when it comes to college football when many guys act like jackazzes every time they make a tackle.

In the end I don't care if Johnny cares whether I care. So there.

Most on here don't have a clue.
And for the 50th time, I'll ask one person to provide me with a salient example of what he's done to make him hated, apart from appearing at professional sporting events, winning the Heisman, driving a sweet car, and being photographed on New Year's Eve and at Mardi Gras.
Not a single answer, other than, "He's just a douche." It's become the thing to do--to spout off.
Whatever. As has been written by multiple journalists, the way people react to Manziel tells more about the reactor than it does about Johnny.

But I'm not an a-hole. Manziel's father admitted that the kid is a tragedy waiting to happen

1. At dinner he tells his Aunt to "shut the hell up"
2. He whines about how horrible his life is
3. He calls his coach "Summy"
4. He taunts opponents
5. He has a "personal assistant"
6. His behavior at the golf club
7. His behavior at the Manning Camp
Yep. Not one thing

Pretty much the same as everything Cam has done since getting called out by a number of NFL players.

He also cancelled his beach getaway with AJ.

If you don't think Manziel owns bones, you're probably some old POS clutching their pearls over "the integrity of the game".
Get over it.
Get over it.

He's doing it bc he knows he has to, JFF doesn't really want to be there.

He doesn't whine about how horrible his life is. He's 20-years-old. He'd just gotten a parking ticket from the miserable CS parking Gestapo. My bet is that if someone followed you around with a camera, you'd have a bad day once every 365 days as well.
Everyone calls Sumlin, "Summy."
He doesn't taunt his opponents. You're referring to one game, and the Rice players were very clear afterwards what happened.
He's one of the biggest names in college football--ever. He's also a full-time student who just happened to win the Heisman trophy. What's wrong with having an assistant?
Everything else you listed came from a very agenda-driven media. You weren't there. You don't know what happened.
Whatever. Your opinion is your own. And I'm certainly not going to change it. But thank you for at least answering my question. You're the first one to do so.

He's been a spoiled rich kid and has acted like one. But I think he is a good kid, just still needs to grow up.
And haters are going to hate, whether its Cam or Johnny

Some of you haters are ridiculous. Yes, Johnny has his issues. There is reason to think he (sometimes) drinks too much. He clearly has anger issues, and his "walk a day in my shoes" tweet was ridiculous.
But he's also a GREAT teammate, an INCREDIBLY hard worker, and a genuinely good guy. Johnny started spending time with Dina before his explosion of fame, and it is obvious that he genuinely cares for the kid. Some of you just can't see it because you've got to much hate clouding your vision.
