Big dude, can run and throw in Fuente's fast offense. Of course, he's untested and raw. Had a pretty good start to his career against Liberty (of course, it was Liberty) : 20-32 (63%), 221 yards, 4 TD/0 INT, 5 rushes, 46 yards

Any concerns Vols?

Starting QB is a key to the game? Are you sure about that?

After last week? of course

But still think we come away with a comfortable win. Hoping 1st game was attributed to jitters, hype, and vanilla playcalling. We start seeing the same stuff again ill get worried.

Two most important parts of this game are going to be offense and defense.

Considering he'll need to be a do everything guy in this game, yea, more so than maybe other QBs in other games.

He has to fill the Dak role for them this weekend to have any shot to win.

Also the team that can score more points. They're probably going to win

It's fuente vs butch, they should be extremely concerned.

didn't Va Tech struggle against Liberty for much of the game, and isn't Liberty one of the worst FCS teams? Kind of a side note, what the hell is up with football programs in the state of Virginia? It's not like that state is devoid of football talent

They struggled for a quarter or two. They ended up beating them pretty handedly.

And Liberty went 6-5 last year in a pretty good league (Big South), so they aren't great but they aren't terrible. They beat Coastal Carolina, Georgia State and Montana last season.

For the record, is VaTech still any good after Tennessee wins Saturday? I'll hang up and listen.

They are a 6-8 win middle of the pack ACC team. You are welcome to define that anyway you wish I guess.

Take VT and the points. I actually think VT wins the game.

Fuente is highly untested on a major program level. He had a really special QB at Memphis that got him some wins there. Rode those coattails to the VT job. After VT was so devoid of offense for so many years they took a chance on young Fuente. Will be interesting to see on the big stage.

I'm not worried about their offense. Our defense is gonna be fine.

I'm worried about our offense.

They are average, I guess? Who knows at this point. They haven't been good in a while, though.

He got away with more than a few 50/50 jump balls against Liberty. Those are going to be picks if he tries that same stuff Saturday.

I watched some of their game and I wasn't terribly impressed with this guy. He sure is cocky af tho. We are really going to see just how good this Tennessee DL is this weekend imo
