Long would be a great hire for Texas but I doubt that he is offered the job or accepts.

I am not worried about it. Our baseball, basketball and football coaches all have great resumes.
That's naive for the long term.

I thought they were announcing Oliver Luck in the next 2 weeks?

Don't care really. As long as they stay irrelevant, I'm happy.

Those interviews would be interesting as hell to sit in on and listen to. Over/under on how many questions are asked before "What are you going to do about Mack Brown"?

Oh, I figure it's pretty obvious they're bringing in the new AD first to let him hire "his" coach. Mack might have another year, but that would be the most IMO. I figure Rick Barnes is on the block too.

So if Long did go to the sips, who would be the SEC's representative in the playoff committee. The committee members serve terms, so would we be without and AD from our conference?

That reason alone is why he won't leave.

Yeah, it's the firing that's gonna get interesting. The candidate who gets the job will have to have a good plan for pushing Brown out, and how to do it.

I really thought Brown was going to be the new AD let him leave the position with grace.
