I have never really been impressed with Driskel. He reminds me a lot of Brantley. You hearda lot of hype and expected him to get better, but it never happened. I may be proven wrong, but so far I haven't seen anything to indicate Driskel will be anything other than average at best.

As long as he had 15 seconds to read half the field, he is a wonderful QB.

Florida's O-Line deserves some serious criticism.

Lol exactly why he wasn't a good fit for an offense that takes the majority of snaps from under center.

Even though he's been a major bust to this point, having a different offensive coordinator every year would be hard for anyone.

That's total bullshite. He is WORSE when he has to improvise with tons of time. Some of his biggest mistakes have come when he didn't get pressure right away, but waited 6 or 7 seconds, than made a really bad decision once the defense finally got there.
In the new offense, he's supposed to throw in 3 seconds, and if nothing there, he is going to run.
If he actually does that, UF will be in good shape.

I hope the Calgary Stampeders sign him in the off season, would be a great 4th QB.
You can't Friskel the Diskel.

I was not complimenting his ability to read a defense with that statement.

He throws a shite load of pick six daggers but he's pretty decent otherwise. Didn't he lead them to 10 wins as a freshman?

The pick six in the Sugar bowl was the receiver's fault. He was a sophomore when we won 11 games and I think he was 10-1 as a starter.

People forget his great performances in 2012 against A&M, Tennessee, and FSU.
A&M- 13/16 162 yards 0TD 0INT 14 rush 8 yards 0TD
Tenn- 14/20 219 yards 2TD 0INT 8 rush 81 yards 0TD
FSU- 15/23 147 yards 1TD 0INT 11 rush -20 yards 0TD
I would have thought after Tebow , the bar to be considered great at Florida would have been a lot higher.

Why, He's a pretty solid QB? Never quite lived up to the 5 star billing but definatly much better than the alternative
Do you have any idea how many good Florida HS QB's would have loved to have signed with UF but left the state because Driskel was being billed as the 2nd coming of Tebow?
Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles are just two of them.

Nobody considers Driskel to be great. He was put in a system he that he was not suited for. And coached by a complete idiot.

First, Bortles was on no SEC teams offer list. He was offered by WKU, Purdue and Colorado St. And Bridgewater was either going to the U or out of state.

That's kinda my point. Driskel was the heir apparent and Bridgewater wasn't a priority. Bortles developed late but I'm sure he would have preferred UF over UCF.

Please tell how Blake Bortles left the state to play Football at UCF?
On Driskel, I'm skeptical, and yet- there's not really that many QBs in the conference I'd take over him in the old Florida offense (which may say more about the dearth of quality passers in the SEC this season than anything else), and in the new approach he could legitimately shock people-- I'd say there's a 1 in 3 chance he's the All-SEC QB this year.
