Everyone knows Gus only runs 5 plays.

yeh, it looked a little bit too big, but Gus could have thrown in some color by numbers for Jameis' hearing.

Best case scenario:

1. Winston gets suspended.

2. FSU crushes Alabama in playoff with no-name 2nd string QB playing heroic game.

3. America celebrates.

Just pretty much anything on a police scanner on a regular night in Tallahassee.

I'm sure the committee will consider his body of work in making their decision.

Anybody get the feeling like that binder he's carrying is just full of empty pages. Seriously, what is he doing with that?

Jameis Winston and David Cornwell, his advisor, have arrived for the FSU hearing.

Was this the deal with the devil y'all made, Bama? You got Coker in return sending your frosh QB to FSU to use all he's learned in his few short months under the REC's tutelage to get Jameis off the hook? That's just wrong, and you know it.

Casher and Darby, who were Winston's roommates at an off-campus apartment and were there on the night of the alleged incident, refused to answer Harding's questions on the advice of their attorneys. Citing a Florida State student conduct rule which allows students to refuse to testify, Casher and Darby told the judge they intended to "stick by their prior position" because of a threatened lawsuit.

So it may be in their right to refuse, but if they do, the school should have the right to expel them?

Thanks for the update.

Why would they refuse to testify? ....

School's not bound by normal jurisprudence. They don't have to respect the whole self-incrimination thing. Obviously they can't force the two to testify, but if they feel there's enough evidence to consider the two obstructive in their behavior, they certainly can expel them. A civil suit might conceivably follow, but if the two are in any way guilty, they won't bring one because civil suits give them considerably less protection than criminal cases and judges are a lot less tolerant of plaintiffs who won't testify.

But I have serious doubts about whether FSU would expel them, regardless, barring some major PR scandal. Nothing I've seen thus far suggests they're big on treating their star athletes like any other student.
