Has anyone ever gone from being benched in game 3 to being listed by Vegas as one of the top 10 players for the Heisman ?

He set a school record vs UK as the first QB to pass for 3 TDS and rush for 3 TDS.

He is peaking at the right time and now sits fifth in the country in passer rating at (173.58)

He has definitely balled out the last few weeks.

And unlike you he didn't disappear into the corner for a month after a tough loss.

The reality is the Heisman talk is silly.

He is very improved, but he's got 2000 passing yards and 300 rushing yards, 10 games into the season. While the award isn't all about stat accumulation, you have to at least be in the ballpark and Milroe is not.

It wasn't game 3, but jalen hurts was benched for piss poor play and was a heisman finalist 2 years later

I have zero time for loud mouthed shite talkers who run away when things don't go great and then show back up when they start looking good again.

He bought into what the coaches wanted after the USF. Outstanding job since that game.

So you're saying it's likely he'll pass Troy Smith's Heisman winning 2542 passing yards?

The oline started to gel and they cleaned up the pre-snap penalties, WR route running improved a lot. And whoever the hell is acting as the magician half time, making huge adjustments deserves a damn medal.

The coaching has certainly gotten a lot better at learning and playing to his strengths

I am sure not getting sacked 17 times a game is helping that process

I'm sorry to hear about your mother Skip. I'll be praying for her to get well and make a full recovery.

Thanks for the kind words. Its treatable and even curable, but the treatment is pretty rough

As an LSU fan, I probably agree. He was benched to shining. He's not a very good passer, but he's not awful. And he plays smart. He's done well.

Probably. The difference was Smith was in the vicinity in 2006 of the other top QB's (for reference, that was Brady Quinn. Not a great class). Milroe isn't. Much better QB's in CFB this year.

I completely agree. I have been a Milroe supporter since last year in his game against ATM because I thought BOB called a game for Young, not Milroe.
Even during the first games of this year as he struggled, when people on a different message board attacked him as a QB and sometimes a person, I supported him.
Now those people are all celebrating him as OUR QB and I call them out if they haven't already eaten their full plate of crow.

Amen.

I'm on month 4 of my current round of Chemo. (stage 3 colon cancer). It kicks your arse like nothing else. She can tough it out though. Some of the people I see in the infusion rooms with me who are tiny old women cracking jokes as they go through that stuff give me tons of hope.

So some people criticized Milroe when he was playing badly and some people didn’t.

Whoop de doo. Let’s all line up for milk and cookies.
