he lost the game, but you have to admit he had wonderful poise. he stayed calm, no matter how bad he stunk up the field. very impressive.

I thought for a minute Brandon Harris had transferred... I have to say JH has a killer running game though.

It's completely obvious that there is nothing short of a QB problem in Tuscaloosa.

Funny how times change.

Not that you should but if you are going to blame that loss on a singular player it has to be Tony Brown way before Jalen Hurts....no questions asked.

He's by far their most dynamic running back and the kid honestly has shown tremendous mental stability. I love seeing a freshman that cool. But damn he can't throw the ball.

It was funny how often the commentators kept mentioning that. The guy couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, but he's so damn poised

You would have seen a higher sack total if it was Harris. He's not the runner that Hurts is.

With about 2 minutes left in the game, Hurts had about a 30 yard TD run to put Alabama ahead 31-28... The defense didn't do their job in stopping Watson...

How good was Watson when he was a freshman?

let's face it - if Clemson doesn't come back on score hurts is heralded as the second coming. he would've "won" the game.

I didn't really place the loss on him, though. the whole Alabama team lost.

Man, you need to leave the coonasses alone and let them get all this butt-hurt out of their system. Their football team can't help them, so just lay back and watch them use the success of another team to relieve their stress....it's called bandwagon masterbation.

It's no bandwagon masterbation. It's just good old fashioned hate.

You still have the best team and coach in America and will be favored to win it all next year and the year after that.

lol, Watson was good as a frosh... comparing Hurts and Watson as freshman is like comparing a rolls royce to a Camry

Hurts just went 14-1 and was the SEC offensive player of the year.

When the talent level has been closer to even, Hurts looked very much like a freshman QB in 2016.

Half of Watson's production that year came against South and North Carolina. Both teams were trash defensively that season.

Hurts looked good against the bad defenses as well.

He looked like Etling against Bama.

Oh wait, no he didn't because he threw and ran for a TD and led the team to 31 offensive points against the best team in the nation.
