I might of bookmarked it dunno, didn't look for it there. just know I remember seeing it back then and a simple google search retrieved it.

We dropped the Arky game from "rivalry weekend" in favor of TAMU for a reason. No one cares about Arky except Arky.

Long and Bielema had been talking for months before Long "offered" Miles. Reading between the lines, I don't think Long ever made a serious offer to Miles. He may have if he'd thought Miles might accept, but I'm sure he knew that was unlikely. Common sense says that Miles probably helped Long and he repaid him by helping Miles get a raise.
Also, many Arkansas fans were calling for Long's head when they found out he'd "offered" Miles. Long had to know that wouldn't go over well with Arkansas fans. I think Miles is a good coach, but most Arkansas fans had no interest in him, whatsoever.
