Reality will eventually set in but it’s fun to watch all the people claim that this is the number 1 hire, he’s supposedly the goat but hasn’t put in the years.
It’s funny for me because during my jr high-college years Alabama was not very good. He spoiled an entire generation and they will have to accept that the constant 12+ games per year will come to an end and it will actually be more fun to win every now and again.
To the ones that think this new coach will have Saban success you need to reevaluate and have realistic expectations.
Let’s be honest, if he didn’t have Penix and get to the playoffs he’s most likely not a candidate for the job. His team was also one of the oldest in the country. I’m sure the guy can coach but I find it hypocritical when Alabama fans were cheering about Brian Kelly…. Left with 36 scholarship players from O and he’s had back to back 10 win seasons starting out. Deboer is starting out with a full team and should realistically be a top 10 school. Another concern is his recruiting rankings over the years…. They were atrocious.
All the bama fans hated on Brian Kelly and Hugh Freeze but I guarantee you they would prefer either over their current coach.

Saban is the reason for your team’s continued success. Before him you were shite. Because of him you can manage some down years and still get good players to want to play for y’all. Saban is the best thing that happened to LSU and Alabama.

You need to stop using this narrative. If kelly hadn’t had daniels you would be looking at firing his arse, especially this year without any defense to speak of.
