The Arkansas-LSU baseball series weekend. I hate you fricks but I'll admit this is one weekend I always circle on my calendar. I love it when the two most passionate college baseball fans get together. No matter where it is, the crowd is always electric and the games are always awesome. Hoping for more of the same this weekend at Baum.

Golf is more competitive an interesting now than it was back then, maybe the Tiger / Phil battles were better, maybe, but overall there is more parity and competition at the top right now.

How will Arkansas one up the greatest organic mascot creation in sports history from last year's series in Baton Rouge?

Golf was 100x better when Tiger was blowing the field away. Its the one sport where I hate seeing parity. I don't want to see Danny fricking Willett win a major.

That being said, the tigers take 2 of 3 from the hogs this weekend. We are due. Plus we have dominated the series with Arkansas since PM became our coach.

See... you never start a thread talking about what a great rivalry we have with LSU in sports and compliment them.

You might as well piss on their corndogs.

They cannot handle anyone but Bama in football acknowledging them as rivals (which the Tide will never do because they have at least two rivals they would put in front of the Bayou Bengals).

By saying, wow, we've had a great rivalry across multiple sports recently you might as well be saying I violated your sister/girlfriend/wife/mother. Or all of the above.

Can someone summarize how your team is looking?

LSU is loaded on paper this year, but they look like crap.

A power team. Literally.

Lead the SEC in homeruns and 2nd in slugging percentage. On the other side, pitching staff leads the league in strikeouts. Knight leads the nation in K/BB ratio. 48 Ks in 41 innings and only 2 walks. 1.71 ERA in SEC play. In SEC play, Arkansas is 2nd in the league in batting average and also leads the league in fielding percentage in SEC play.

Pretty well rounded team that seems to be finally hitting the ball well as of late. Only one weak spot in the lineup and that is Cole.

Very true, and I think I speak for most of Hog Nation when I saw we didn't expect this kind of production from this lineup either. This year has been a pleasant surprise. Looking forward to a great series.

I did. For the same reason I expect we won't be much better in football come fall. Coaching matters. Anyone who denys dvh is one of the best coaches in the country knows zero about college baseball
