anyone who has an ounce of respect for Finebaum probably has no self respect at all. He's a turncoat on his own alma mater. that's all I need to know.

Well, unless Corso picks A&M.

Then the universe will implode.

The voice of the SEC has spoken. Let it be written. Let it be done.

Just like he said that if les miles won the sec in 2011 he would walk to BR barefoot. So much for that.

I'm sure it's out there, but I wonder what Corso's all time record is in his pics?

I don't care enought to look it up.

It's not OFFICIAL yet, but, yes, it is a foregone conclusion.

A&M had a magical year in 2012. It is hard to predict who will be the surprise team each year. I would have bet the house that Auburn would not have won the title in 2010.

But A&M,,, one good year does not grant you a pass on the next season. See Auburn 2011, 2012. Don't get too full of it. I mean,,, Auburn had the best player in college football in 2010 and won it all... Y'all had the best player last year and finished 3rd in the sec west.

Sumlin is not Chizik. Sumlin knows what he is doing. Chizik, not so much.

I can only find one other season where a Sumlin Head Coached team was expected to do well, 2010. Houston finished 10-4 in 2009 and were considered a 'BCS Buster' in 2010 with 9 starters returning on Offense, including Keenum, and 7 starters returning on Defense. They finished 5-7 that year. The other years he did better than expected, years when not much was expected, including TAMU last year. He might be one of 'those' kind of coaches. With a lot expected out of TAMU this year, we shall find out.

Seems like I remember the same prediction last year.

This will be Bama's last chance to play us when they have more depth.

A&M only had 70 players on scholarship last year.

talk to us about depth when you have had the #1 recruiting class 5 of the last 6 years and when a top 5 finish is a down year for you.

Can you tell the class what happened to Keenum that 5-7 year and what game it happened in?

Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter, still shouldn't have sucked that badly. You expect 5-7 if Manziel goes down in the 3rd game this year?

Doesn't matter? You don't know much about football.

Houston had the #11 rated Offense in the country in 2010. That wasn't their problem.

I will agree with that. Sumlin is a great coach. Chizik is not. Although, Chizik and Sumlin both had surprising seasons, but not because of their coaching ability. It was because they had a QB that could improvise with the best.

Sumlin never had a great defense at Houston. He relied on Offense. You are right, but not for the reason you think. Look at turnover margins and get back to me.

You can go ahead and write "it doesn't matter" a third and fourth time and you'll still be wrong, because UH lost their star QB AND HIS BACKUP in the third game of the season and had to play a scrub from then on. If you don't think that losing the starting quarterback and his backup would crater a team with as little talent depth as UH is able to muster then your football IQ is tard-level. UH had annihilated the first two teams they'd played and were ranked 23 prior to losing all quarterback talent. So what if they still finished #11 in total offense? UH has zero defensive talent. There's no cure for that for them. For UH to be a BCS buster as predicted, they needed to be #1. With Keenum that was a distinct possibility. With his backup, maybe the still have a winning record. But with a third string guy taking snaps? At UH? No freaking way.

These are a few hints for Bama visitors:

The A&M campus is 5500 acres so you will probably be able to save yourself a lot of walking by getting on one of the buses to the stadium.

Visitors are treated very well at College Station but men carrying cheerleader pom poms may be subject to a little good natured joking. Nothing personal.
