I think it is more obvious that Alabama faced its first real opponent and had enough talent, and LSU had enough lack of execution for them to hold on. If Alabama had already faced the schedule LSU did, they would have come out and played a lot better. They would have known more about themselves. The better team won.

I honestly can't remember the last time a team had 100 more yards and +2 in turnovers and lost

Let's not act like Bama fans. It is annoying as shite. No excuses. Yes, we outplayed them, but they won. Bama fans could NEVER admit that last year or ever and it is why their fans are not liked.

Why? It's football - it happens. Sometimrs the team that outplayed the other gets beat. I never understood why LSU fans got mad when this was said last year, and Alabama fans should acknowledge it this year.

What's obvious is that LSU played the best they are capable of playing and still lost to Bama who played about as bad as they are capable of playing. If these two teams played 10 times Bama wins 10 and last night's game was as close as LSU could get to beating the tide.

We played great but lost in the end. Both teams are exceptional, we are probably the only team in the land that can do that to Bama.

I wouldn't say the better team necessarily, but the better game was played by LSU by far. Tigers played greatest game of their lives and Les blew it.

Sounds eerily similar to Bama fans after the 9-6 game. Even Saban said LSU outplayed Bama so I dont get why LSU fans are chanting this...ok..you outplayed us, but LSU fans, most importantly, Les out coached himself during the whole game. Much like the Bama loss in the 9-6 game, that loss fell on the kickers....21-17 last night falls at the feet of Les Miles

LSU dominated Bama last night is most stats but a few yards rushing and the score. Reminds me of last year at Bama when LSU won but Bama was the better team. Anyone who watched the game knows Bama only had 3 drives the entire game but thats all it took. The better team lost.

LSU also had chance after chance to put the game away and didnt.

Honestly, with all the gambles that Miles lost, it was closer than it should have been. His defense bailed him out several times.

I'll say this though, Mett grew a pair last night. Hate it for that guy because he played his arse off against the best defense in the country.

If... If only they had a way to measure performance. They really need to implement a scoring system, which would allow one to measure these things

In all seriousness though, LSU played a hell of a game. They are a MUCH better team than I had earlier thought. I'm not looking forward to our game at all - we gonna get hurt.

Just because I want to prove you wrong and shut you up on the bolded point, I refer you to the following post...

I admitted it.

I disagree with the better team lost line. Bama went into one of the toughest environments in college football, and played a team that had a week off. That team got on a momentum roll and outplayed Bama during that time. However, being a championship caliber team, they nutted up in the clutch and won.

The better team won that game, but definitely were outplayed for a good stretch of it.It was one of the great games of college football. As a fan of college football I couldn't have asked for more. Well played LSU and Bama
