to dislike Alabama. I know I'm supposed to, but I don't even dislike Nick Saban. The guy was a good football coach, and still is. I wouldn't trade him for the guy we have now, but that's just me. The point is, how can I hate a team that is the main rival of the school, and I say school because my hatred isn't just sports related, with which I hate more than any other, the Auburn War Eagle Tiger Whatevers.

I'm really not trying to be a Bama apologist, I've just thought y'alls football program was great when I was growing up, I'm not going to change my mind after a couple years.

Oh I know you're not. Just don't hear many LSU fans say that and you also have lots in common with us Bama fans since you hate Auburn.

I don't hate LSU. I had always liked them growing up as well. It's only in recent years i've started to dislike them a bit because of how i've been treated.

I don't especially dislike 'Bama (or your coach). I am, and always will be a die-hard fan of all things LSU though. The only time I pull against Alabama is when it benefits my Tigers.

I just see this rivalry growing each year, which is cool and why I made that statement, but I won't ever be one of those passionate guys like with the Duke-UNC rivalry. BTW, I hate Auburn because I visited the place when I was about eleven and was treated like shite by the people on campus, the town itself was boring, and a lot of them seemed trashy.
I am glad the other teams in the SEC can collectively laugh at Tennessee as well.
