After Butch gets fired, will he stab his old friend in the back and take his job?

Dude, Gruden loves UT and CBJ. Hell, his kid is at UT now as a student.

Fulmer's already in line and has experience in these things.

Like Fulmer did to Majors? Only Majors actually won something.

Botch hasn't won anything.

I've never understood UT fans' hard-on for Gruden. He acknowledges the Vols existence once, maybe twice a year and they all think he's a superfan and destined to be coaching them

And this probably has nothing to do with an love for cbj.

Gruden coached at UT, his wife was a cheerleader at UT, his son goes to UT. That probably has something to do with it.

But those are all pretty much dismissed by his current pay and job....

I was just saying that is why UT fans are infatuated with Gruden. I never said it was rational.

Haven't really seen anyone seriously tout Gruden in years anyway. It's more of a running joke now than anything else.

Vols are given to idolatry even more so than you bammers. They haven't had anything to latch onto in a long time. Some of them tried with Kiffin and he spiked their Kool-Aid.

Jack Nicklaus' daughter went to UGA. What's your point?

If Nicklaus had been on the UGA golf coaching staff right after he graduated from Ohio State, married a UGA women's golfer and his daughter went there...then UGA fans might bring up his name every now and again about any involvement he might have with their golf program. That is the only way your comparison would be similar. Your comparison is apples to oranges (no pun intended).

By the way...I never said it had any merit...I was just explaining their infatuation.
