2 SEC schools have a football national title and a NCAA Tourney title in basketball.....Florida and Arkansas
1 SEC school has a national title in football and claims a basketball national title pre tourney era....LSU
MIZ-ZOU has a title in neither. In fact, MIZ-ZOU has never reached a Final Four in basketball.

Like I say we are competitive in both but elite in neither. I define competitive in hoops as making the NCAA tournament a whole lot and I think most college basketball fans would say that's fair. Mizzou has the third most NCAA tournament appearances all-time out of the 14 SEC teams. We're competitive in basketball. It's pretty straightforward.

LOL ok chief well we've done that better than a majority of the SEC as well and done it better than Arky has since the turn of the century (Mizzou 9 NCAA tourney wins since the year 2000, Arky just 1). We are competitive in hoops under your criteria and have been a lot more competitive in it recently than you have. Again, fairly straightforward.

I started going to Alabama basketball games as a little squirt in the early 80s about the time I started going to football games. Alabama went to 12 NCAA tournaments in a 14 year period from 1982-1995 with 6 Sweet 16 appearances during that stretch. I miss those days when we were relevant in basketball SO much. Other than a 5 year stretch under CMG in the 2000s, we've been an NIT program since.
