FWIW, the difference between this year and last year is-- ND didn't lose. You've got an undefeated team to deal with. USC beats ND, and you've probably got two SEC teams in the title game again.

I agree this is the major difference.

But UF actually did win the division. We are considered co-champs as the SEC recognizes both teams. The tie-breaker is only to determine the participant in the Champ game, not the division winner.

Shirts printed!

Seriously though, I've moved past it. We lost the game we had to win to get there and ND pulled it out against a weak schedule. I look forward to throttling whoever we play in the Sugar Bowl, praying our juniors all decide to come back, and then enjoying our preseason #1 ranking.

But i honestly think if Alabama beats Georgia in the SECCG, florida has still had the better resume.

I agree our resume is better, but we all agree to the same rules. We played like total shite in Jacksonville. Even after five turnovers, we were still in that game until a sixth at the end killed us. And as bad as we were on offense, UGA brought it all night on defense and finally lived up to their talent. We had every opportunity to be in Atlanta, but we dropped one. Georgia is rightly there. And the winner has every right to represent the SEC this year in the MNCG. It's not like the team didn't know what a loss in that game meant for UF's season.

Honestly, it has been a magical season for us when you put in perspective. The fact that it came down to a team outside of of conference winning being the final nail in the coffin for Miami is quite amazing. That one loss to UGA would be our only one for the regular season and we are probably heading to the Sugar Bowl is nuts as well. I'd love to have had a shot, but it doesn't take a way from how proud I am of the team this year.

Weird to see LSU fans flip flopping on this issue. I guess the hate for Bama is stronger than I realized.

You are a good fan that looks forward instead of doing what LSU fans do and cry about what could have been.

Florida will be in Atlanta next year. I hope Alabama will too.

Did you really have to go and bring common sense and insight into this? I am trying to be a butthurt baby here and you are not helping at all.

Man, trust me, I was as butthurt as they came. Those first two weeks after Georgia were brutal. I went full on shitty fan and even missed the Mizzou and ULL games. I was pretty deflated last night as well.

I guess I woke up this morning and realized as much as it sucks to be so close, it sucks a lot worse to let where you didn't get ruin where you did get or get down on a team that played some inspired ball. To end up in a BCS game (more than likely) after the Bowling Green State game? fricking awesome!

Yep, I agree whole heartedly, but I think we lose a bunch of kids to the draft and take a step back next season. I would have loved to sneak in the back door and stolen a natty like Bama did last year. Bama needed the pokes to lose (and they did) we needed ND to lose (and they didn't).

This makes the win feel so much sweeter. Sorry I have had a similar feeling after the USCe game. but then we beat florida then baylor and stanford won and now I'm on top of the world. Hopefully I'll be able to say that December 1
