I actually liked the first down call, but that set them up perfectly to run on second down (and third if necessary). Bizarre

Yep. Fantastic call. The first down pass should have ended the game.

LSU then called the next two plays like they were trailing instead of protecting a lead.

Someone seriously needs to send Les to a time management clinic or something.

Yeah, they were LAST NIGHT. That's the point, they shouldn't have been.

LSU was an average team this year when not playing at home. The loss to UF and close victories over bad Auburn and Arkansas teams clearly showed that LSU was good at home but not so good when playing on the road - with the lone exception of their win over aTm.

Oh yea - well - he knew what he was doing - he even verified the call with his state trooper.
I ain't defending chit. Pay raise to a guy who makes calls like he is playing madden. Miles wins 80 percent of his games and can recruit- but lord does he just have these ungodly miles moments - he makes it so fooking hard for us to defend him.

Just think; Miles is 3-1 in your stadium.

Just think, since arriving at Alabama, Saban is 3-1 in the state of Louisiana against LSU. 2-1 at "death valley"

I like Miles & think he is a real gentleman. Head coach, not much. Who ever calls the offense plays suck. They do the craziest things n the turning part of the game. I don;'t look for this to change any time soon . I just feel sorry for the players that are playing the last game as a Tiger. Tough lose. What happened to the Lsu power running game? GEAUX TIGERS.

Not only is Les the dumbest HC in the league - he also has the worst offensive staff.

What a great combination for us.

Feel sorry for Chavis.

NOW you understand why WE were pissed about the Texas A&M game. First and goal at the 6 bring in Jesse Williams and RUN THE DAMN BALL.

simply run the ball on 2nd and 3rd to try to get 2 yards for a 1st down while in the process forcing Clemson to use 2 TOs and you win the game. WTF?

So LSU doesnt run the ball twice against Clemson to possibly win the game and our coach is officially the dumbest coach

But......

Your coach has his team 1st and goal againt aTm, doesnt run 4 straight times behind yalls supposed all world line, loses the game, and yet he's just the greatest coach out there because losses are just part of the process.

Yeah ok

Good point.

The one small difference here is that our coach is playing for his 3rd title in 4 years at our University.

Until he can prove otherwise I have to agree. WTF was he thinking I don't know.

Again we played down to a team we should have blown off the field. They game planned to rush Mett and we couldn't stop it. The play calling was terrible. Why in the hell you don't run the ball with a lead in the 4th guarter? Hell even peewee coaches know this!

If this team doesn't do soemthing special next season I believe the fans will turn on him.

Difference being Bama was trailing....LSU had the lead and the main focus when you have the lead and the game is winding down is to milk the damn clock EVERY play.

Bama could have ran every play, yes, but incomplete passes in bama's situation don't affect bama at all. Incomplete passes in LSU's situation are the equivalent of giving Clemson 2 free timeouts at the most crucial time in the game.

Fluker I understand your response...trust me...its like tomato/potato...but you cant teach some of the brainless on this board that dont understand football # 101. To compare Bamas situation and LSUs is downright dumb of course. Bama was behind in the score and LSU wasnt....big difference. I have seen too many time management miscues from LSU to consider it a coincidence & Miles is in over his head sadly, cause he seems like a good guy.
