Doesn't seem too compelling.

I actually think it'll be a pretty good game. UT will be coming off a bye, and Alabama will be playing its 8th straight game (and their third very physical opponent in a row). Tennessee has a good defense, and a great defensive staff led by a NFL coach, that has two weeks to gameplan for Alabama's pro style offense. Not to mention the fact that it is a huge rivalry. Alabama wins, but I don't see it being a huge slaughter.

Alabama's education system rears it ugly head once again. I guess you didn't read the free textbooks.

BTW, thanks for the sig quote.

a week ago it was mutiny on the kiffin ship. then they beat up a deflated georgia team and they think they are going to win out. good luck with that!

Totally agree with this. South Carolina has a good defense also. 7 straight physical games will have a bit of a toll and with Tn comin off a bye and being rested, not to mention the extra time Monte will have, will make this a tough game. I think our D will still do what it does best, but I expect our offense will have it's work cut out for it.

If Crompton continues to improve then I like UT in an upset. Monte Kiffin is looking forward to scheming Bama's offense. It will be a low scoring game. UT will get one signature win against a ranked team this year and I'm thinking it is Bama.

I cant see it happening but I hope your right. The problem is that Bama is solid in every facet they have no weaknesses. I think we keep it close but I still think Bama wins it by 10.

Ican't believe you all watched the UF/UT game and you still think its going out on some limb to think this will be a close one.

Monte eats pro-styles for lunch. UF, Ohio, and Auburn ran spreads. Every pro-style we've faced so far hasn't done shite. Remember Georgia didn't pass the 35 against us.

I don't recall us getting even close to blown out in any game this year. You must be confusing this team with the Fulmer teams of the last couple years.

I'm not so sure Bama is perfect. Stop jones and ingram there you go. Unfortunatly for ole miss they couldnt stop the run. Mcelroy sometimes a little predictable. But as for the defense.Crompton better where some extra pads. But i think UT fans will be a little surprised. GO VOLS

So, what exactly do you think Crompton will be able to do against Bama's defense? Just asking.

This game will be determined by the team with the best defense. I don't doubt for a minute that UT's D will slow down Bama's offense. But, your defense is going to be on the field a long time and will wear down in the 2nd half. I just don't think Crompton & Co. will be able to hold up in the end.

I think many Vol fans believe in the so called "moral victory." Even those who swear they don't. They think because they managed to avoid a rout in their game with Florida they are something special.

UT schemed against Florida the entire offseason (see UT's poor performance against their first few opponents for proof they were HEAVILY focused on their game against Florida.) And not only that, they didn't even play to win. They played to lose by as few points as possible. Vol fans might be satisfied with that, but the rest of the SEC is laughing at you.

I think UT is going to get rocked by Bama.

NOt so much a moral victory. We lost fair and square.Although i did think it was funny that Urban meyer had to use the swine flu for an excuse to run up the score.

Really because not for this vol fan, a win is a must, frick a moral victory. I do find it funny that Florida jumped on the shite talking train, and then provided to not provide an arse whoppin.
