Please LSU. Show some class. I don't remember the whole SEC telling you to move all your games away just because the PMAC was a triage center.
The may not have done so, but we still did to Tempe, Ariz. in 2005.
IMO, it would be better if the game could still be played nearby SC, however, that change should probably move in a bit. Jacksonville would be a good venue, but is it possible? Atlanta would have been great, but a game is already being played in the GA Dome. Sanford stadium is another good option. BR is an option, but simply a fail-safe for SC at this point.
As to how to handle something like this, LSU has done it before. Not sure if any other team has dealt with this in the last 10 years. it's not about getting a home game as much as it is in getting the game played.

But by all means host a college football game this weekend. I'm sure the emergency personnel won't be needed for actual emergencies.

I feel bad for SC fans. i know what it feels like to have your home games screwed up.
Not a fun feeling. I am starting to come around to the idea that BR is the best option. It will raise the most money and all the neutral sites around Columbia dont appear to be viable options.

I mean, hey, if Florida wants to be the first SEC east team to get stomped in Death Valley, let's do this in Columbia.

How about everyone put aside their petty gripes and focus all energy and prayers towards the folks in South Carolina?

Nah, it's more fun to watch some of them shite talk UF because of one poster. I'm enjoying the melt.
I do agree with you in all actuality but since it's happening I'll enjoy it.
I do pray for the SC folks though and hope they can get through this.

There's that LSU class.
You do know that what you suggested isn't possible, right?

so little empathy for others facing a similar tragedy
Joaquin is a weakening cat 1 projected to never come close to SC or the Eastern shore.
Katrina was a Cat 5 that weakened to a Cat 4 upon making landfall with a direct hit to the Gulf Coast.
While damage is likely to occur(inevitable), flooding, etc...this is almost the equivalent of comparing a fender bender to a fatal car crash.
I do feel sad for the people who will lose things of value to them and hope they take the proper precautions to preserve their most treasured possessions.(life, memories, etc.)
Let us not compare this event to what is still considered to be one of the most devastating national disasters in American History.
I think most Americans should feel thankful that this storm is literally turning away from the US and we have basically went through an entire hurricane season with very little if any Hurricane activity.
Compare Katrina to Andrew, Ike, etc ...sure by all means that makes sense. Comparing every heavy rain, tropical storm, or fringe hurricane(mostly media driven) to these storms belittles the devastation the real thing causes.

Aye aye captain. I will no longer think about or wonder where the game will be played for now on. I will instruct all LSU fans in my vicinity to act the same. I feel so classy now!
