I agree, Lane has been downright terrible this season. Butch called him out yesterday in the press conference. I'd look for true freshman Derrell Scott to start getting a chunk of the backup carries behind Hurd.

As for the WRs, they've not been that bad imo. Malone has gotten decent seperation from what I've seen. Also, he's beat his man a couple of times on long balls that would've been TDs had Worley not overthrown him.

We were without our 2 best YAC receivers (Pearson and Smith), which hurt us in the big play department I think. Look for Pearson to be back this week against you guys. He can cause a lot of trouble if the first man misses a tackle.

Switch Thompson and Towles. The rest looks fine.

It's either him, Thompson, or Mauk. Worley looked good last night (and has always looked good if you've watched Tennessee), but Thompson looked a level-up against UGA (altho I assume he came back down to earth last night). Either way at everyone who thought Worley wasn't good before the season.

if Thompson is the 3rd best we have to offer it really is "special needs".

He did admirable against the dawgs but that's one game. Mauk is bipolar but his record as a starter I think makes him the top QB in the east.

Worley looked great against UGA and USC last year.

It's weird when you can tell people don't really watch a lot of games but then come sound off online.

I know one thing...Marlin Lane would NEVER see the field if I were HC at UT. Awful. Havent watched enough of Pig Howard to see if he is bonafide wr.

Lane was injured yesterday (ankle) and generally gets positive yards.

Pig is a good receiver that's slippery to take down when he gets into space. But like North has been covered pretty well since other teams know he's a threat.

He might be. Mauk is the only other one with an argument. Worley is tough as nails.

I thought it would be Mauk but he hasn't impressed me so far this season. Worley on the other hand has a very strong arm, is athletic and makes plays in spite of having a mediocre OL.

I think so. That said my idea of him may be inflated after watching him throws vs air and be compared directly to Senor Noodle Arm.
