Everybody recruits the same kids. Every school will have kids get in trouble. Over time patterns are established. When school A has 5 times the number of arrest, that program needs to make adjustments.

Did you even read this thread?

uh yea, sparky, and I also read the silly AJC article that was not so wisely reprinted by the COMO Trib, one of the few things that made sense in that article was:

quote:

Criticism of Georgia’s tough drug policy also is misplaced. The school should be commended for setting a standard in drug testing, not denounced by those who lower the bar because they’re more concerned about winning games than enabling drug use.

Of course the rest of it was spent chastising Richt and his staff for not being clairvoyant enough to know which kids would fail the opportunity to play SEC football. Might help if they didn't all get second chances at places like, oh say.. YOUR SCHOOL!

I guess you guys are 4th chance U then

So if another program makes a stronger stance against drug related charges, are they the new "standard"? Come on man. You are reaching

UGA having 11 arrests against our 2 in the same time period has nothing to do with them running a cleaner program as you stated. Stop deflecting.

The entire AJC article is crap. The same players that UGA kicked off were recruited by the majority of the main SEC programs.

arrested one time, given a second chance and kicked off when he clearly wasn't "getting it"...

so yea, Mizzou sucks because we enforce discipline like UGA???

ok,

"deflecting" is something that happens when a program looks the other way, something other SEC schools are far better at than Mizzou or UGA..

try again.

I could see CMR being the kind of guy who thinks he can be the difference in a troubled kid's life.

CIYE, out of curiosity, why are you so obsessed with UGA? What is it about UGA? There's no century long rivalry between the two programs. Live in GA? Envious of something?

Like every other SEC coach, Richt strives to be there for his players and help them grow as players and men. He has no problem sending people packing when their strikes are up. Not sure why you say this when I'm sure countless college football players have been helped in numerous ways by coaches all around the country..

this is the new Auburn line and frankly, it's bull shite. whatever makes you guys feel like the victim, which is where you guys feel most comfortable

And the UGA lines are "our drug policy is tougher," "Athens cops are meaner than every where else," "every other schools police department covers theirs up," or "they are only misdemeanors." I could go on.

Like what, taking kids from other programs that get kicked out and have them start over with a "clean slate"?

Once again, WTF does an Aubbie get off in making any comments about UGA disciplinary issues?

After you guys welcome kids with open arms that get kicked out of other schools?

I'm just amused that the Columbia paper is reprinting, er, certain types of columns from the AJC.
