Real reason why LSU is not playing in NIT is they can't find Simmons, who's going to have his pro day on Monday in Australia.

If so, what a disaster the whole Simmons/LSU/college thing has been.

If this doesn't kill one and dones then nothing will.

He's a retard for signing with Jones in the first place, I wouldn't be shocked if true.

i doubt any NBA team is going to go to Aus. when the season is still going on. I doubt he can have a pro day unless it fits in with the NBA schedule

This wouldn't surprise me. It's been all about Simmons since the start and never about LSU. Good riddance

I don't buy an Australian pro day. That doesn't make any kind of sense.

I do buy that he has already decided to GTFO and has made contact with an agent, making himself ineligible.

LSU would probably lose money to play in the NIT or CIT. Probably wouldn't look too good with the current budget crisis.

The NBA doesn't, but the NCAA does I'm sure.

Ben's pro day will go like this:

"Wow, look at this kid handle the ball."
"Jeeze, this kid can run for his size."

"Whoa, we're going to have to work on his shot. And by work on I mean completely create one out of thin air."

"Where would be put him? A true 4 and 5 will abuse this kid and a 3 will blow right by him. Gonna need some work."

"Jesus Christ. How can someone so athletically gifted be so bad at shooting a basketball?"

Which I don't think is all that bad. The one and done approach requires teams really to go all in on it. It leaves everyone else a ton of high level guys that may need some time in college before they go pro.

So do you think that's the reason LSU isn't playing or that they just weren't selected by the NIT and JJ is trying to save face?

Because if Simmons simply playing dictated that decision, LSU should be embarrassed that they let a player become bigger than it's program.

He really treated LSU poorly all the way around. Unfortunate if true.

LOL y'all really think he's gonna have his pro day in a foreign country during the NBA season coming right off a 15 hour flight?
