I remember when LSU was good and we had this same problem. When we played a tram they'd be ranked, then later in the season they sucked. Never knew if they were over rated or we just ruined their team...Bama has that same problem now.

To be fair to Bama that usually happens when you put that team out of their misery. Its not Bamas fault that the ones who make the rankings have no idea of what they are doing.

I think this years Alabama team is by far better than anyone in the country. Is it their best team, no. The 2011 Bama team had to beat arguably the best team LSU has had, the conference was much better and they had a quarterback that could make plays down field...
This years squad, albeit the best in the country, is more of a product Alabama consistency and no other team being in the same neighborhood.

this IS NOT one of Bama's best teams. Our DL is good but not great. Our qb has a hard time staying in the pocket and making significant throws. Our punt return unit hasn't made any plays. Our fg kicker still gives me the heebies. Our OL can't protect for more than 2.5 seconds. Our second leading receiver isn't a receiver. Lots of ?'s remain to be answered. I think LSU and AU will expose these weaknesses.

The 2015 team, while not dominating opponents like some of the other Bama teams, peaked when it mattered most beginning with the LSU game going forward. Coker was a liability early on and I was sure he would lose Bama a game but everything clicked for him when the competition got tough. His performance against Michigan St and Clemson rivals anything AJ McCarron did in a Bama uniform against quality opponents and I consider AJ the best Bama QB since Ken Stabler. I know Brodie Croyle had great talent but it was his misfortune to play at Bama during their decade of mostly irrelevance so he isn’t on AJ’s level.

I wish it was but I don't think it's by far the best. The offense can be quite inconsistent.
