How much has he got returning next year? I can see him bringing in a QB transfer ala Burrow (along with a skill player or two) and putting them over the top IF he can mostly hang onto what he's currently got.

If so, Aggie's got a real shot at being better next year.

Is above average supposed to be good enough? Who were the QBs he brought in in his first two classes?

You are probably a new bandwagon fan and that’s okay. FYI... Joe Burrow transferred in and started as a junior.

Just thought you might want to know.

Why isn't he starting this year then?

He's on par with the 3 QBs you saw last night. I'm sure Farmer still likes to think he's a 5* signee.

And with how many top ten classes already under his belt? He waked into a boatload of talent.

So the greatest season ever was his peak? Wow. So insightful.

This is becoming a running joke at this point.

Strange take. It seems to me as if he is building a program in year 3. This is just the start.

Very few of the players on the 2019 team were Miles holdovers

Actually, no.

It was "actually" his 6th but I saw no reason to count the 3 years at Ole Miss as an indicator to how fast he got LSU to being a contender.

I mean if we're counting that, Jimbo is in his 10th year.

Yes

But don't bother trying to convince them of this

So how does any of that matter toward how quick someone has converted their new program into a contender?

Johnny sat his Freshman year too. What’s your point?

Yes, experience matters. Track record is usually a fair indicator future performance. The situation you take over matters too. I think Jimbo’s process of more repeatable and likely to continue. O seems more like lightning in a bottle with Burrows and Brady.

Was your starter that year as bad as Mond?
