Why can't football just be our thing?? Honestly, I don't want to sound sexist, but I'd be willing to bet that if advertisers knew how many people mute their TVs when they hear Beth Mowens calling their team's game, ESPN would have a hard time keeping her in the booth, throwing diversity initiatives to the wind. If nothing else, I'd kind of like to hear some of these chicks try a little less to sound like men during the broadcast.

Yeah having to watch the UGA offense that is led by a coach that has to wear a hefty trash bag as a shirt.

Here's my two cents:
I don't mind if a female calls the game, I think it'd actually be quite nice but here's the rub:
Beth is trying to take on the male announcer style, which just sounds empty, weak, and frankly a little annoying. Female announcers just need to announce like female anchors on the news. Matter-of-fact, but poised and feminine.
