Is there a base running school we can send our coaches/players to?

Coach Walton just made reference to our softball team pulling the same keystone kops routine today that our baseball team did yesterday. Hotbox rundown between 3rd and home and 2nd and 3rd again to run ourselves out of a possible big inning.

I feel you bro. LSU players have been terrible alot this year as well. Apparently not enough attention is paid to that part of the game in practice. Every scenario can be created in practice too.

Yeah it just takes a second of hesitation or over aggressiveness to get yourself in a pickle.

Although it cost us one run yesterday, it almost cost y'all the game. The softball mistake y'all made last inning cost y'all at least one run.

The runners need to pay attention to the coaches, especially at 3rd base.

PeaRidge, CPM was quoted in the paper this wkend as saying the staff feels the risks of being aggressive on the base paths are well worth the possibility of a few negative results. He specifically noted the first 2 innings of the Hawg game & what that aggressiveness did to the Hawgs. And FWIW: Kyle Peterson feels the same way, as he was praising LSU aggressiveness all wkend/season long. And just as importantly, there is aggressiveness on the base paths & then there is stupidity on them; noting that Fraly's getting picked off was a mental mistake on his part as he was not aware that CPM did not want him stealing at all & he thought he was supposed to. And we have the speed this yr to be aggressive. Next year, probably not.
