There's a thread on Volnation where many are wanting to give up the Alabama-Tennessee rivalry because it has been so lopsided and non-competitive.
What say you, Tennessee fans of the SEC Rant, are you as willing to throwaway the rivalry as your Volnation counterparts?

Actually, I don't. I picked it up from the College Football Soundoff Board on Rivals. It's on the front page if you don't believe me.

The pukes loved it when we were playing with one arm tied behind our backs due to sanctions and had walk-on's starting.
Not to mention for years they had an off-week before our game and we always had a tough SEC game that week.
Roid Krammit isn't in charge anymore. Hope he and Fatty Fullmore are enjoying the return to normalcy.

SEC should get rid of the cross divisional rivalries. SEC has the most unbalanced format for conference scheduling.
At least when the SEC was 12 teams, you played one cross division "rivalry" game and 2 games rotating between other 5 teams in opposite division. So Florida and Georgia at least had to play Bama every 2-3 years. Now they're only scheduled ever 6 years.
Best idea I've seen....get rid of the divisions and top 2 overall conference records play in SECCG. Makes the SEC title game more exciting because most years, both teams would be in playoff contention and the SEC title game would basically be a play-in game for BOTH teams.
Keep 3 rivals that you play every year. Then there's 10 SEC teams left. Play 5 one year, other 5 the next. Every 4 year player will have played every team at least twice (once home, once away) instead of the current format that leaves 4 year players without ever having played 2 schools from opposite division. Now the schedule is fairly balanced as possible and you can keep the big rivalries playing annually Alabama (Auburn, LSU, Tennessee), Tennessee (Alabama, Vandy, Florida) and so on.

Never take anything posted on Volnation seriously. The vast majority of Vol fans have no interest in discontinuing this series.
