I would say that the data we have shows there is no correlation between SECT performance and NCAAT success.

Again, the data doesn't mean crap if it is data pre bats being changed.

We have data this year that UF, UK and USCe all went deep in the tourney and preformed bad.

we also have data that shows LSU won the SECT last year and made it to Omaha. And you are using a straw man argument if you think performing well at the SECT has any bearing on a team playing poorly in regional play. And no, USCe did not go deep in the SECT this year. They lost 12-0 and 7-2 in two games. And Kentucky didn't perform poorly in the NCAAT. They were the 2 seed in their regional to a national seed in Louisville and made the regional final. For the #9 team in the SEC, making a regional final and losing to a national seed is not a poor performance.

Considering LSU wins the SEC tournament basically every year, and also happens to be the SEC team with the most national success/titles, I think the SEC tournament is a pretty relevant "stepping stone" or "part of the process" for LSU. Can't speak for everyone else in the SEC, but I would think at the very least others would want to copy/mimic lsu's process in this regard given the historical success rate.

In other words, win the SEC tourney and you're more likely than not setting yourself up for a run at the title. Always exceptions of course (see USC).

Arkansas beat Ole Miss twice. Arkansas is gone. Ole Miss has to win once to get through.

You kinda of bend the story to fit your agenda.
