The best offense LSU's defense has faced was the Mississippi State bulldogs. Those are the 55th best offense in the nation. Past that, they've played practically NO offenses. Now, i've watched that D play, and they do seem to be ball-hawks... but really, how are they going to really plan for this Auburn offense?

I just got told these stats by an auburn buddy.

don't know if it's already been discussed, but LSU fans... what say you?

It will certainly be interesting. LSU hasn't played an Offense like AU, and AU hasn't played a defense like LSU. It wouldn't surprise me if the first quarter was 3-0, with both teams trying to figure each other out.

Not an LSU fan, but their D is pretty good. I expect to see a really close game Saturday. I'm not saying Newton won't get any big plays, but they will be limited.

Meh. LSU D>USCe. I guess we will find out after this game, but LSU's D appears to be better.

LSU has not faced an offense near as good as Auburn's so it will be interesting to watch it unfold.

I think Chavis and Miles have seen enough college football games to know how to plan for this one. I like our chances.

Yea and how many did Auburn score? 17.

LSU scored 27 against them.

So does that mean LSU has a better offense than Auburn just because we scored more on them than Auburn? No of course it doesn't. It's rediculous to compare common opponents, it's been proven many many times it doesn't reflect future outcomes.

My point is not to say we win or don't win.You can't just go by who previous teams have played. I'm saying all this has been discussed in 1000 threads already. Everybody let's just watch the game and see what happens.

The numbers for the defensive are still impressive for playing that many BCS teams....

I agree that they might be slightly overhyped in the eyes of most LSU fans, but regardless they are an elite defensive unit. The best in the whole country is probably an overstatement considering, but even if go to say a top 15 defense; thats still pretty damn good.

yeah but did you really put as much stock into that as you would LSUs defense?
