That wasn't exactly a Heisman moment for Lamar Jackson last night. I'm sure you can blame most of it on his OL but it's always been a team award. You can't win the thing without really good teammates. You could still see Jackson's immense talent but he also got rattled and not all QB's that come under pressure get rattled (Austin Allen says hi). If he had held his composure maybe but LJ8 fell apart in the 4th quarter. With 10+ sacks I can't blame him but that's not what the best player in the country does. Not to mention fumbling the ball when they had a legitimate chance to come back in the 3rd quarter.

I'd lean towards no. Don't think anyone will have a better cumulative season than Jackson. I'd love to see JAllen invited to NYC though.

That can't be true! Remember Fournette last year? It wasn't his line that got him 31 yards against Bama, it was just cause he isn't very good. (According to Bama fans)

This opened the door for LF7 to claim what is rightfully his.

The problem Jackson faces now is he has one game left and many of the other contenders have at least 2 and some 3 before voting ends so yes I think it opens the door for a few to make it close if nothing else

If hurts goes off the next three games; I don't see how he doesn't get an invite and possibly bring home he hardware.

Everything isn't about LSU.

The only competition Jackson should have from other skill players is Pat Mahomes from Texas Tech or MAYBE Baker Mayfield from Oklahoma.

ESPN QBR
1. Baker Mayfield : 90.5
2. Lamar Jackson : 87.7

Because it's about Alabama 24/7, right? One game doesn't make or break the Heisman race but it sure didn't help his cause. Voters tend to have short memories.

Remember LSU fans last year, telling us how great their OL was prior to the game? It couldn't be the OP that was the problem!

Jesus Christ, LSU fans are dumb. LF7 isn't even leading LSU in rushing yards or YPC, etc.

I get it, he was injured, don't care - neither does the Heisman committee.

Can't see it...if Jake Browning and Washington hadn't had a bad game against USC, he'd have been in the picture...maybe if Jabrill Peppers puts up some unreal numbers in the next couple of weeks (and especially against Ohio State), but that's doubtful. If Deshaun Watson puts up numbers like he did last week, without the INTs, for his last 3 games, he might get back into the conversation...

But Louisville knows they blew it, so I expect 'em to play pissed off against UK...I see Jackson puttin' up some obscene numbers in that game and lockin' it up...

Need to wait until after the SECCG before we make up our minds about who's in or not.
