AU has only beaten a somewhat decent UA team in those 4 games if you consider UA good this past season. The other win UA finished 4th in the SEC west but claim a great victory if it makes you feel better.

And yes we lost the Sugar Bowl which we should have not been there looking back at the season, but Saban unlike Miles and Gus has never lost a NC. So it is all good.

You don't have to campaign to me how overrated Bama has been the last five years. Preaching to the choir.

Are you suggesting records against Auburn shouldn't be considered unless they're contending for a championship?

During the same period that UA is 2-2 vs AU, LSU is 3-1 vs AU.

Just sayin'...

So LSU fans quality of their program compared to Bama is based not on how they do against Bama, but how each does against Auburn? Makes total sense to me.

If that's the case then Alabama and Auburn have barely played over the last 70 years.

You haven't seen anything yet now that Pearl is at Auburn. I've never seen a bigger bandwagon in any single sport than I witnessed during the 1999/2000 Auburn basketball season. I had Auburn friends and acquaintances that had never watched an entire Auburn basketball game talking s### like they had a glorious basketball past and out of nowhere started to care about basketball. The second that Chris Porter left and they got busted by the NCAA for cheating you would've never known basketball existed to these same fans. They didn't care before or since.

However the two losses we have had haven't really hurt. Hell I missed the 2012 IB at the beach. Didn't even bother watching and didn't even see the final score until Sunday.

Is there an honest-to-God rationalization for this?

Response thread to Is Florida to blame for LSU's struggle with Ole Miss in recent years?

So to answer both your questions, no. And yes.

This is such a BS response, I am so tired of seeing this!
The fact of the matter is this: 11/30/2013 Saban "lost a NC", unless you are willing to admit that if that field goal had been good, Missouri or Free Shoes University would've beaten "almighty" Saban.
Same goes for the SEC championship game in 2008.

Both of those years, in those single games, Saban was coaching for a national championship, and he lost both.

You've got no idea how stupid your post is, do you. Given your rationale, every game that good teams play, would be considered to be played for the Nat'l Championship.
