I'd first entice you with the helicopter which in my case looks like a Hawaiian fire dancer

Auburn has not been a proven cheat in football since Eric Ramsey in the early 90s.

They wouldn't have got caught then if they hadn't pessed off Ramsey about race, so he busts out the tape recorder.

Racial discontent can trump team loyalty.

Meh, it is more confirmation bias than gender bias.

I already think Auburn is guilty, and therefore I want to believe Roberts' report.

However, I am becoming more skeptical now that the players have denied it (two of the three, anyways).

Check.

People wanted to believe the Duke players were guilty, so they easily accepted the story. People want to believe Auburn is guilty, so they accept the story

Did you want to believe that Lance Armstrong was guilty? Not many did.

Yeah, and not many people did believe it.

Thanks for supporting my point.

Is she getting a pass?

As the hours go on, more and more journalists and talking heads seem to question her ans not her story.

You were making the point that, although many didn't want to believe Roberts, her allegations were proven to be accurate?

No. Whether they were true or not was completely irrelevant to my point.

Complete the thought:
People believe Auburn is guilty b/c they cheat;
People believe Roberts is guilty b/c she lies.
It 's a perfect story.

Nortizzle (or WDE24/Sammy/parkjas/allin),

Sincere question here.
I knew since the Duke Lax ordeal that there was no love lost between Selena and AU. But can someone give me the history on the fallout (prior to this article, of course).

FWIW IMO she's a greedy, lying, kingkuntcommander:

1. Duke Lacrosse.
Everybody reported that story. Fine. You're a journalist just doing your job.
Oh wait, except for that objectivity part and tone of her report that sounded as if they'd already been tried and convicted.

2. Her A-Rod reports.
Expose the PED...Again, fine. She has some quasi-evidence. She's just doing her job.
Allege that he was betraying his own team by signaling pitches to opposing team, based on heresay and conjecture mortared together with total friggin BS. Then GFY DIAF, youre just trying to sell books.

3. Now the Auburn stuff.
Where are her responses to Thorpe, Blanc, and even Dre, who are all denying her report.
In her interview that on Al.com, when asked about this, she gives some lame answer about "oh it's hard to tell the truth." FOCK YOU B!TCH, it's 2013. This is really simple. Either they said these things, and any credible journalist-hell any 13 year old with an iphone-would have gotten a recording of it, or you're just a lying POS. So just play the interviews for us.

Agreed. They always seem to jerk each other off too; ala "I know blank no one is better in this business"

But we all know auburn and in all likelihood our favorite teams cheat or created so don't cast any stones. The worst were the big 12 fans on Houston sports radio today getting high and mighty.

I DEMAND to know who anchored my thread and if I do not get an answer I am calling for a Senate investigative hearing ... no, better yet, I am calling Mike Slive.

And to answer the OP.
No, she's getting a pass because the vast majority of journalists and media outlets are worthless. Pervasive worthlessness on all levels.

Take the guy Brandon Marcello who covers Auburn athletics for AL.com and interviewed Roberts AFTER the players denied her claims. Never dawned on this guy to ask her to provide proof of the players statements. Pfffft
