Msu basketball, as much as it pains me, was a great program. As pointed out, nobody in this nation has accomplished wjat Stansbury did with the budget he had.

Of all power conferences, only Utah had a smaller budget. South Florida had a bigger budget.

Name another sec school that has been able to hire a decent coach who could do what he did outside of uk and uf.

The issues state fans sited are still happening.

And who has the once proud arkansas basketball team done since the Richardson days?

My point made.

Bama may fire their coach and free up some cap money if he doesn't make the big game.

Pretty sad. I always liked Stansbury ,even though y'all were probably tired of him, he'd run his course in Starkville.

Actually it isn't even really very good either. The offense just makes it look good.

State KenPom Ranks (Nat/SEC)

Offense Eff - 305th / 14th
Defense Eff - 145th / 13th

Yeah, for sure among the worst SEC basketball hires ever-----but Rick Ray was born in Compton, California. Compton is perhaps best known for its street gangs, the Bloods, the Crips and the sureños.
So, at least he's got that going for him.

ZERO head coaching experience, came from a mediocre school in Clemson. Had never even been to Mississippi before being hired.

14-19 (3-15)
7-8 (0-2) Currently riding a 15 game SEC losing streak and has't won a single road SEC game in his 2.5 years as HC. We also currently are last in nearly SEC offensive category and rank 349th out of 351 D1 schools in 3point shooting.

Hahahahah I wonder how much the Carver HS crew love being at State now?
While the Bama schools on the rise

Gonna go with Dana Altman bc he accepted, flew to Fayetteville, did the hog call (albeit awkwardly), then said "frick this" and left the next day.
